The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for design and development of UI Test Automation, will report to the Engineering Manager- Software Automation QA and will bring his/her expertise to improving our automation systems through hand-on development of our automation framework and test automation suite.


The candidate will leverage past experience and technical background to plan and conduct all levels of verification against our software products within an agile team development team. You will utilize the necessary tools and agile processes to assist developers, ensure that the product confirms to highest standards of customer expectations, and assist with the evaluation and management of tools, frameworks, and verification environments. The team member will be in Bangalore and will closely collaborate with the teams in Toronto, Canada..


This position reports to the engineering manager and is part of the Software Verification  located in Bengaluru and will be an on-site role.  


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include:  


  • Responsible for automation/verification Strategy, develop automation scripts, code review, setting up automation Infrastructure and Execution (UI Automation and Manual test cases)
  • Participate in requirements, architecture, and design reviews discussion to come up with appropriate automation test strategy, test design.
  • Responsible to monitor the automation execution of daily runs of the modules owned, and manage the automation failures analyze the failures, RCA, and perform the recovery based on RCA.
  • Responsible for CI/CD configure for integration of automation tests in a continuous integration system (git, TeamCity) and handling the feature/release cycles.

The essential requirements of the job include:


  • 5+ years of experience design & implementing automation testing frameworks, very good in testing methodologies, and strategies for functional and non-functional testing with bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Must have strong experience in one or more of language/ Frameworks C#, JAVA, C++ language and tools for Continuous integration (CI) & version control such as Bitbucket, Git, Bamboo or Team city, Jenkins, Team city, TFS, CruiseControl.NET
  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, QA methodologies, defect management system, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in a variety of software testing tools such as Test Complete, Load Test, Coded UI, Spec flow, fitness, Selenium, and other automation tools.
  • Experience in one or more testing frameworks such as Unit, Spec Flow, TDD, BDD, Hybrid and Keyword driven frameworks and Exposure to performance, API Testing, and its automation framework.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • Team player who has a proven track record of working effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment and with user groups. Exceptional attention to detail, Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills, Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact well with people at all levels within an organization. Proven ability to make decisions, positively influence others, and work well in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good to have Healthcare domain knowledge.
  • Good to know about mass spectrometry.
