Senior Software Designer

Your role:

Strong software developer with good system knowledge and software knowledge.

Person would own the complete delivery of the legacy product lines.

Also play the role of technical PO for the team where he/she will have to translate the high level scope to detailed scope for the team, lead the feature grooming, sequencing of deliveries, drive technical discussions/solutions with global team members. Person should also influence the software roadmap through customer/technical insights ​

You're the right fit if:

• At least a Bachelor degree in SW Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science or equivalent
• Work experience of healthcare devices industry is desirable
• At least 10 to 15 years’ experience in software design and development
• Experience with all aspects of the software development lifecycle: requirements,  design, implementation, test and integration
• Experience with C++, object oriented programming and SOLID principles ​​
• Experience with software development methodologies such as agile (SAFE), scrum and the V-model
• Design and implementation of software (on component or module level)—understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification;
• Design software on the basis of design specifications in accordance, to ensure that the software will be reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards;
• Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components;
• See the challenge in working with a very large codebase (new and legacy code) that will need new features added or embedded in existing code, updates, (bug)fixing, improvements.
• Good communication in English (both written and verbal)
• Personality skills to collaborate with colleagues from different teams/levels and think across functional borders
• A lean/pragmatic attitude who can drive change and continuously seeks improvements and ways to reduce ‘waste’
• Interest in development of software in a controlled regulated environment
• Experience in working in a healthcare product development environment is an advantage

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
