Department: Global Patient Safety

The Position


As a Senior Safety Data Analyst, you will:


  • Collaborate closely with the Front Desk, Support & Training, and Validation teams within SDDS, as well as System Management teams in DD&IT and all our users and stakeholders in Global Patient Safety.
  • Utilize your analytical and technical skills combined with business understanding and data knowledge to understand business requirements.
  • Proactively use your development experience, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills to guide users on optimizing solutions and services.
  • Drive the process, coordinate, and communicate with all involved stakeholders and colleagues to deliver and support the use of the solutions you’re responsible for.

Qualifications


  • A university degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or other relevant Engineering/Technology background.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing business intelligence solutions with a good track record of successful BI projects (preferably some experience with QlikSense).
  • Demonstrated innovative thinking and ability to identify and implement improvements in IT solutions, processes, methods, etc.
  • The ability to quickly understand the business, data, and solve complex problems.
  • Experience in leading projects and/or process development involving several team members and/or stakeholders.
  • Knowledge/experience with Qlik Sense or other BI tools and programming skills.
  • Knowledge/experience from the Pharma or Medical Device industry is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (company language).
  • Solid MS Office experience.

About the department


SDDS is part of Global Patient Safety within Development, and we safeguard our patients all around the world and across all Novo Nordisk’s products. SDDS plays an important role in supporting all our colleagues across Global Patient Safety to collect data efficiently, secure data quality, and facilitate medical evaluation by delivering IT solutions for safety reporting and analysis. We are a team of 15 people with IT and/or pharma/life science backgrounds working with Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Data collection solutions in Bangalore, India, and Søborg, Denmark. We are also exploring advanced analytics like AI/Text Mining/Machine Learning to gain even better insights. Our current systems include Qlik Sense, Qlik NPrinting, MS PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agent.
