This position will be responsible for developing QA Automation within a multi-disciplinary cloud (AWS) based engineering team. The individual will spend the majority of their time on automation but some manual testing may be required.Role ResponsibilitiesDesign and code automated tests in JavaScript (Node.js) and UI testing tools (Playwright).Embrace Behaviour Driven Development practices, e.g., Gherkin/Cucumber.Strong experience building test automation for web and API solutions, working with scripting languages JavaScript/Typescript, and playwright-based test automation frameworks and API test tools such as PostmanWrite well-designed, scalable, and maintainable codes/ test cases.Execute a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirementsInvolve in the ongoing maintenance of customer technologies, resolving issues and escalating where necessaryRecommends and supports the implementation of improvements to quality control frameworks, processes and best practices.Required Skills/Experience:Expert Quality engineer (3-5 years) with excellent knowledge of the JavaScript language, Playwright and Automation tools.Familiarity with and/or accreditation in AWS or similar Cloud technologyExperienced with at least one RDMS like MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server etcExperience working with version control tools such as GIT or Bitbucket and CI/CD tools like JenkinsExperienced in building End-to-end automation included test automation management, test execution and test reporting for SFTP and Database solutions.Self-starter - does what it takes to get the job doneExperienced, able and keen to work using Agile development methodologiesExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenLSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
