Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible to assist the Quality Manager to develop the quality system in accordance with corporate policies, goals and objectives and the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, hence to contribute to improve the overall quality performance of the Company. Experinece on ASME U stamp approval and Saudi Aramco Approval is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Review Contracts or customer specification to generate inspection test plan.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Welding.
- Good with measuring Equipment and timely inspection for receiving, in-process and final inspection.
- Built up documents to generate customer dossier.
- Level II in NDE is preferred.
- Having knowledge of calibration and managing those for the instruments in master list.
- Utilizes appropriate quality tools (e.g., problem solving and root cause analysis, lean and Sig Sigma) to help resolve issues related to non-conformances.
- Manages the Material Review Board (MRB) to ensure that material is distributed appropriately and quickly.
- Utilizes statistics, problem solving and other quality tools to monitor and improve TDW’s plant processes and to help troubleshoot production process and product issues.
- Drive and lead corrective action and preventive actions and monitor it's effectiveness
- Determine WPS and PQR for the job. Responsible to generate if not available in timely manner. Taking care of Weld consumables.
- Active participation in ASME U stamp audit and routine job. Lead Saudi Aramco plant approval form Quality and Welding side.
- Participate in plant audit.
- Quickly resolution of customer complaints and lead corrective and preventive action to avoid re occurrence.
- Strong coordination with the other departments to ensure completion of job smoothly.
- Create Monthly Quality report and share with shopfloor and management.
- Good communication skill with positive attitude is must.
Experience
- Bachelor in Mechanical with 8-10 year experience in fabrication industry
- Strong Welding Background with competency of managing Welding process throughout the plant.
- Level II Qualification in NDE for major techniques
- Experience with ASME U stamp Qualification and Saudi Aramco Approval process is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good understanding of Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA).
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to create, develop, organize and utilize complex databases in a quality environment.
- Thorough understanding of advanced statistics and their application in an industrial environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and multimedia communications skills.
- Intermediate MS Office skills.
- Ability to travel (internationally and domestically), if required.
