Join our rapidly growing Kantar Automation Platform development team as a Senior QA Engineer. We are a large Agile team with multiple squads dedicated to delivering outstanding results every sprint to support the platform's growth. The Senior QA Engineer role is crucial in maintaining our quality standards and actively contributing to our teams' success by encouraging a culture of continuous testing and delivery. Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping our development process and ensuring the excellence we aim for.


Role Overview


Your expertise as a Senior QA Engineer allows you to showcase your understanding of standard methodologies in QA and your experience in automated testing. In this pivotal role, you'll play a central part in preserving and improving the quality of our KAP product. Your position will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our product quality. Drawing on your proficiency, you'll assist in developing software tests through a combination of manual and automated testing methods. Your skills in crafting tests within our established framework will be highly valuable.


Key Responsibilities


  • UI and/or Backend Test Automation execution.


  • Add new tests and expand the automation test suite.


  • Crafting automation testing artifacts including test estimates, test execution reports, etc.


  • Execution and monitoring of test automation scripts.


  • Perform regression testing to verify new features.


  • Analysis and troubleshooting of automation script failures.


  • Improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.


  • Ensure framework completes daily tasks in a CI environment.


  • Foster transparent communication within the team.


Key Capabilities

Skills & Experience


Essential Experience


  • 4+ years’ experience in testing including automation.


  • Hands-on experience completing automation testing activities in an agile environment.


  • Reporting testing status and assessing high-risk situations that could compromise delivery deadlines and quality.


  • Good knowledge of automation techniques in an agile environment.


Desirable Experience


  • Some experience with coding in languages like C#, .Net, or Java technologies.


  • Background using Playwright, Cypress, or SpecFlow is ideal.


Essential Skills


  • Solid knowledge in previous roles of the testing of applications, microservice architectures, API services, and databases.


  • Knowledge of testing technologies and latest practices in the field.


  • Familiarity and understanding of testing concepts and different testing techniques.


  • Understanding of concepts of Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration, git, branching strategies, and equivalent experience in DevOps.


  • Excellent communication in English, both verbal and written.


Desirable Skills


  • Performance and Load testing.


  • Knowledge of other UI automation frameworks like Playwright and Cypress.


Personal Skills


  • Great interpersonal and communication skills to be part of a team that is spread over multiple locations.


  • Quick learner and able to readily adapt to project needs.


  • Excellent experience in interpreting testing requirements.


  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.


  • Ability to handle conflict, difficult situations, and to influence others to your opinions.


  • Must have a positive “can-do” attitude.


  • Must be able to accept and give constructive feedback.


  • Happy to get hands dirty when problems arise.


  • Able to work with limited supervision.


Educational Requirements


  • BS in Computer Science or any IT degree [nice to have], or equivalent experience.


  • ISTQB® Certified [nice to have].
