We are looking for a Senior PM to join our A-team (hybrid)!The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading multiple complex projects from inception to completion for the Allucent IT PMO, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of the planning, design, development and implementation activities for any assigned project. This role involves coordinating with project stakeholders, managing project teams, mitigating risks, ensuring remediation of issues, and making certain that all project objectives are met as specified in the approved project requirements.
The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for implementing project management best practices and contributing to project management process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans (using automated scheduling tools), including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Oversee project execution to ensure alignment with goals, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations
- Manage project scope, identify changes, and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Ability to perform program management activities for groups of related projects
Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and third-party vendors
- Assign tasks, set clear performance expectations, and monitor team progress
- Server as first level of escalation for all project issues
- Flexibility to meet at suitable times conducive to discussions with project participants in all global geographic regions
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress
- Identify stakeholder needs and ensure their requirements are incorporated into the project plan
- Responsible for meeting minutes related to project discussions that involve key decisions, action items, or important updates.
Budget Management
- Monitor project budgets to ensure they remain within the approved limits
- Collect and report on project cost information segregating between CapEx and OpEx costs
- Report on budget variances and recommend cost-saving measures where necessary
- Approve project expenditures and manage financial documentation as assigned
Project Governance
- Ensure projects have appropriate approvals (as defined by the PMO) to commence prior to beginning project operations
- Participate in activities (including business cases) that establish assigned projects
- Make sure all project closure documents are completed, and the project sponsor has approved closure prior to declaring that a project is finished
- Oversee that any necessary changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget follow the PMO change request process
- Conduct project post-mortems and provide recommendations for future improvements using lessons learned or retrospective processes, as applicable
End User Readiness
- Complete and implement a project training plan if end users need to be trained on the deployed technology or processes
- Complete and implement an Organizational Change Management plan if the deployed technology or processes involve a new way of doing business for at least a segment of the company
