Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in D&A Operations Customer Implementation Services for an experienced customer-focused Senior Project Manager to join our Customer Program Management Team.


Customer Program Management lead business change initiatives for LSEG’s key strategic clients. The Senior Project Manager will drive the direction and delivery of assigned, high profile and high-risk projects to achieve strategic objectives and revenue growth.


The role will work closely across the business and is required to engage at a senior level with customer business sponsors and internal team members across the organisation, such as Sales & Account Management, D&A Operations, Product, Business and Technology.


The role will lead complex and large-scale projects that are global in nature through the life-cycle to ensure delivery that is on time, in budget and within scope. Projects include (but are not limited to) large scale revenue-generating product deployment, product upgrades and migrations. 


This role is critical to the successful execution of customer projects, with accountability for setting up, leading and delivering on key product migration and competitor displacement projects while acting as the primary liaison with the customer. This role will be expected to build and deliver project plans along with other documents such as RACI models, RAID, reporting Dashboards etc. The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams (internal and External) for the duration of the projects and drive performance from these groups to successful project completion.


Mandatory: You should be comfortable working New York business hours in order to be available to meet (virtually) with customers at their convenience.


Essential Skills:


  • Proven experience with successful delivery of external customer-facing projects within the financial services industry.


  • Own the formulation and presentation of project plans, influencing stakeholders to achieve consensus and sponsorship.


  • Solid track record of delivery in environments with high levels of ambiguity and changes in strategy.


  • Able to encourage trust, handle expectations, and build confidence with key customers and team members.


  • Solid track record of defining and agreeing approaches and alternative solutions to solve business and operational challenges.


  • Highly skilled in Meeting Management including status meetings and objection handling.


Desirable Skills:


  • Good understanding of the financial services industry and the key competitors in this space.


  • Project Management or Financial Markets certification


  • Excellent knowledge of LSEG products (e.g. Workspace, Real Time services)


  • Experience of industry standard CRM systems


  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office product suite


  • Skilled with Project Management and other workflow tools!


  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and process optimization tools and approaches!
