Designation : Senior Project leader
Reporting to : Associate Director, Marmon GIC
Location : Bangalore, Full Time
Qualification : Graduation in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Experience :12 - 14 Years (Min 4Yrs exp in leading teams and projects working with US businesses)

Position Overview: 


This is a team leader role who will manage the projects and people while being responsible for his/her own deliverables. The role is 60% individual contributor and 40% team leader. As a Senior System Integrator Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of integrated control systems. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation. As a team leader, you will be involved in people development and their annual performance reviews. 


Key Responsibilities / Functions: 


Schedule and oversee delivery of core or derivative programs, provide technical oversight to product development programs, lead complex NPD processes, and drive the use of methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Design Validation Plans & VAVE 


Participate in design process, testing, and reviews for systems across all product lines as a functional expert 


Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for systems 


▪ Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools 


Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions 


Lead 8D activities to identify root cause of issues and oversee development/implementation of a corrective action plan. 


Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines 


Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met 


Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in a chosen subject matter 


Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences. 


Collaborate with Mechanical, Thermal, Software, Electrical/Electronics and Hardware Engineer to provide necessary directions and address concerns in a timely and effective manner

Experience applying different management techniques and translating management styles between different stakeholder and team cultures. 


▪ Willing to travel within or outside India as and when needed (about 10% of travelling per year) 


Ready B1/B2 VISA for USA is a must 


Skills/ Experience: 


Thorough knowledge about NPD process and experience in facilitating DFMEA, Design Reviews, Design Validation Plans and Testing. 


▪ Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts 


Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work 


▪ Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly 


Ability to work both independently and lead an electro-mechanical technical team 


▪ Experience with complex system design 


Exposure to UL and CE certification requirements for mechanical and electrical components. (Exposure to NSF standards will be added advantage) 


Experience with refining marketing specs and ensuring alignment of system design with the defined requirements 


▪ Flexible in adapting quickly to changing business needs and project priorities 


Experience in working with global engineering team is a must (Preferably with US teams)
