As a Product Marketing Manager with Content Marketing focus for Portworx, the Cloud Native Business Unit of Pure Storage, you are responsible for ideating and developing  content to drive thought-leadership and pipeline for Portworx.

This position combines the innovativeness of a writer and editor with the practical focus of a project manager. You should be able to work with internal and external teams to suggest ideas for themes and stories, including SEO activities such as keyword strategy, content strategy and link building activities.  The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and writing skills. Responsibilities include planning and managing content development cycles; writing, editing and producing SEO-rich content, rich media and social content; and advising and making recommendations regarding strategies for engaging audiences through written and digital assets. 

What will you do? 

• Understand our industry and broader marketing team’s goals and recommend content angles and channels that will result in engagement across our marketing channels

• Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO focus in content strategy and creation
• Develop content plans that includes deadline schedule, content outlines, and audience calls to action
• Support demand generation activities through a facilitated content pipeline
• Execute on plan by writing and/or assigning articles, video and/or social content; editing; managing review cycles; incorporating changes; reviewing staged content, proofreading, and authorizing content for publication.
• Copyedit content and maintain standards of voice, tone, and quality for various communications mediums
• Develop headlines, pull quotes, direct-mail copy, and other types of content as needed
• Manage editorial schedules for on-time delivery as needed

Your Qualifications

• Experience/background/understanding of  Kubernetes/Containers/Data Management market and products is a definite plus
• Proven SEO experience and a track record of success growing organic search traffic and conversions
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and inbound marketing
• Independent work style, ability to plan and execute with minimal direction
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including clear client communication, sharp editorial instincts, and copyediting proficiency
• The successful candidate will understand how to navigate diplomatically in complex environments, build consensus through influence rather than authority, and work collaboratively across teams
• Proven ability to follow and shape stories at various stages of development; keen judgment of unique angles and newsworthiness of editorial
• Project management skills; ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple project schedules
• Comfortable collaborating with others, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy a diversity of tasks and projects
