Job Description

This is an exciting time to join GSK Global Pharma Commercial . Given the increased focus on data and analytics and the need to ensure we have a comprehensive strategy that is aligned to the Customer, Product and Patient, a role of Senior Product Manager - Master Data Management is created.


As the Leader, you will build a team of world-class MDM professionals and lead them as to build and scale GSK’s MDM solutions. You will be responsible for the designing, developing, implementing &  maintaining MDM solutions. Your team will work closely with business, product and operations teams to identify and implement industry leading solutions to improve data reliability and quality, providing technical leadership to the team and mentorship to other team members.


You will work with executive and senior leadership across various business lines within GSK and partner with them to setup processes and technology solutions that enable data driven decisions. You will also be responsible to work with other technology groups in enabling a seamless data pipeline for measuring data quality and enabling data governance.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Define and implement MDM [Master Data Management & Reference Data Management] Product Strategy, aligning to Data Strategy and Data Governance Strategy


  • Design and implement Roadmap for MDM tools & technology


  • Design and implement end to end MDM processes & workflows


  • Integrate MDM Solutions with other Data Governance areas like Data Catalog, Metadata Management and Data Quality


  • Work actively with Business, Technology and Data & AI Product teams to identify MDM opportunities


  • Be a key influencer in MDM ecosystem across business areas


  • Influence MDM strategy for a program/project; explores design options to assess efficiency and impact, develop approaches to improve robustness and rigor


  • Be a key contributor to the planning and direction of a project and effectively prioritize goals


  • Be a key participant in the Data Integrity programs


  • Lead discussions at executive and senior leadership level and use quantitative skills to positively influence decision making


  • Effectively explain technical concepts at all levels in the organization, including senior and executive managers/stakeholders


  • Drive tool evaluation and rapid prototyping


  • Promote Data Culture and Data Literacy


Desired Qualification:


  • Overall, 12-15 years of experience with Bachelor's in computer science, software engineering, or related field


  • Deep knowledge of any of the following industry & it’s business processes: Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Retail , BFSI or Manufacturing


  • 10+ years of experience within data ecosystem. Progressive experience in Data Warehousing, Data Mart & Data Lake and related technologies


  • 5+ years of experience in designing and deploying high complex MDM solutions


  • 5+ years of experience in the data development and principles including end-to-end architecture & design patterns – in particular, integration patterns.


  • 3+ years of experience in leading technical teams in data space


  • 3+ years of experience in managing working groups involving various cross functional stakeholders


  • 3+ years of experience in directly working with executive and senior leadership


  • At-least 1 end to end implementation of MDM in a large and complex organization, in a pivotal role


  • Experience with Industry Standard MDM solutions like IBM MDM , Reltio, Informatica, Stibo, etc. with expertise in at-least one.


  • Strong fundamental knowledge of data governance, data quality, data security and data privacy.


  • Background in Data Architecture, Data Modelling and Data Engineering is preferred


  • Any experience with Azure Cloud is preferred


  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills, Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
