Senior Principal Engineer, Systems Design/Architecture Engineering

System Architect

ADI is seeking an experienced System Architect to lead the system definition, device architecture and algorithm development for the next generation of products for the Wearable & Prosumer Solutions (WPS) portfolio. The successful candidate will synthesize inputs from customers and technical leaders within WPS and the greater ADI technical community to optimize the total envelop of the solution.  

Responsibilities:

·Act as the technical lead in response to customer RFI’s/RFP’s

·Drive process selection for the best overall technical and financial performance

·Define the best architectural balance between analog/digital/firmware

·Build IC specifications that drive innovation for our customers

·Quantify the micro-architectures that will successfully realize the target specifications

·Model system and block level behaviours to validate overall system performance as well as drive design verification

·Work closely with technical teams throughout the development lifecycle to ensure

·Collaborate with evaluation, verification, applications, systems, test and product engineering teams

·Support our ‘shift-left’ approach to R&D by helping develop prototypes and system emulators

·Post-Silicon support including datasheet updates, customer support and debug as needed

·Mentoring and knowledge sharing across ADI

Minimum Qualifications:

·Masters degree in Electrical Engineering  

·A minimum of 12 years industry experience in Audio, Power and system design 

·Proven track record of successful innovation that is linked to revenue

·Proven success in leading large cross functional teams through influence 

·Strong knowledge of semiconductor technologies and the tradeoff’s inherent with different process nodes

·A problem solver who is able to quickly assess situations, collect relevant information or input from subject matter experts and drive manageable solutions. 

·The ability to conduct thorough analysis without falling into “analysis-paralysis”

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage the detail to the target audience

·Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork and bridge differences to realize the team’s strategy

·A strong drive to mentor and develop others
