OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

• The Senior Pricing Operations Specialist will support the Global Pricing and Policy (GPP) team with price governance activities and processes and ensure the timely availability of accurate pricing data to support data-driven decision-making
• The role requires a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in utilizing pharmaceutical pricing databases and tools and effective partnership with pricing data stewards and pricing stakeholders to support high quality of pricing operations activities
• The role requires demonstrated pharmaceutical pricing experience and ability to collaborate and communicate with different stakeholders to drive processes and collaboration

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Deliver pricing governance and pricing data availability and data integrity to the GPP team through activities such as:
  • Access pricing requests from regions/countries on list price changes, launches and withdrawals and facilitate price changes/finalization in Takeda’s price management system (PriceRightUnity, PRU) based on documented pricing guidance and predefined template by working closely with country affililates (LOCs), Regions and GPP stakeholders
  • Support standard pricing processes for global brands including price verification review (PVR), price assumptions review (PAR), etc
  • Support the performance of data quality check in pricing platform for price launch and price change request and follow up with initiating and impacted countries to validate expected price changes where required
  • Ensure data accuracy in collaboration with regions and LOCs and embed data consistency checks (e.g. data comparison across internal PRU system vs. external Pricentric database)
  • Support/contribute to automation initiatives for pricing governance processes (change requests management and tracking, pricing assumptions and validations (PAR/PVR) compared to data from Finance systems, data quality rules setup etc) by bringing a strong understanding of pricing governance and related business processes
  • Answer ad-hoc pricing queries from LOCs or regional teams (e.g. provide list prices information across countries)

• Where necessary and appropriate, participate and/or support pricing activities such as:
  • Run IRP analysis to estimate the cross-country IRP risk and share analysis with relevant stakeholders, closely aligning on request and expected IRP impact
  • Support other pricing processes as assigned (e.g. pricing certificates etc)
  • Support other pricing analytics where necessary
• Work towards embedding the ICC GPP delivery team’s capabilities towards supporting GPP pricing excellence
  • Work effectively across functions and geographies with a focus on customer needs to achieve goals and ensure stakeholder alignment
  • Support business continuity through the mindset and adoption of providing backup to other colleagues in the pricing team

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential

• Bachelors / Masters Degree in science, economics, pharmacy, MBA
• Minimum of 6+ years experience in pharmaceutical pricing
• Process-oriented with good project management, multi-tasking skills, analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication & team collaboration skills, comfortable working with an international cross-functional team and stakeholders
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights/derive implications from the analytical research
• Proficient in word, excel, powerpoint, analytical tools, etc
• Comfortable with ambiguity and experience of working in multi-matriced organizations with a growth/continuous learning mindset.
