AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.
The Q business team is looking for an exceptional Sr. Product Manager Technical-ES for a highly visible product management role. Amazon Q Business is a generative AI–powered assistant that can answer questions, provide summaries, generate content, and securely complete tasks based on data and information in your enterprise systems. It empowers employees to be more creative, data-driven, efficient, prepared, and productive. This role will drive a confidential new initiative from customer discovery and validation all the way through defining the architecture and roadmap through execution. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate, work backwards from our customers, and be at the forefront of generative-AI powered innovation. We are looking for an excellent product manager that that has experience managing large-scale products, has a track record for support in developing a vision, defining a strategy and building features from the ground up. The candidate must have strong technical knowledge, and should thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment, be passionate about solving ambiguous problems. This person will have solved complicated problems with elegant, simple solutions. They must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytic talent, leadership and Have backbone are essential to success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
A successful candidate will have built and scaled high performing products, have the ability to work backwards from customers, prioritize ruthlessly, and be comfortable with ambiguity. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with operational best practices. Specifically, this individual will:
• Assist and leading the product vision, product definition and execution of customer facing features in Amazon Q Business.
• Assist and defining and gather the necessary inputs to make high-quality product and roadmap decisions.
• Work with leaders and stakeholders across the Amazon Q organization, AWS partners teams including customer facing functions and external partners to drive towards our vision.
• Support and Define robust product requirements and execution phases while working backwards from customer need.
• Own roadmap priorities, methods for measuring success and closely support execution
• Communicate with senior management on project status, strategy, risks, and issues through regular update mechanisms or dedicated reviews.
• Work closely with multiple engineering, science and designer teams to deliver results for customer.

- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
- Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
