The Role
As a Senior Piping Engineer with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- Lead and manage piping engineering projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Mentor, guide, and lead a team of 20-25 piping engineers and designers, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Oversee all phases of engineering, including concept, basic, and detailed engineering.
- Provide visible leadership and governance in engineering delivery, ensuring compliance with national and international codes and standards.
- Conduct Technical Bid Analysis and vendor data reviews, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate effectively in workshare and global integrated delivery environments.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of 3D modeling, layout engineering, technical specifications, and tender bid evaluations for mineral beneficiation plants, DRI plants, battery materials plants, and material handling systems.
- Utilize piping software such as E3D, S3D, and CAESAR II to support design and analysis.
- Understand project requirements related to productivity and schedule control.
- Interact effectively with all stakeholders, including clients and vendors.
- Collaborate with other disciplines (Civil/Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation, Mechanical) to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Prepare and deliver clear communications and presentations to clients and lead offices.
- Support proposal engineering efforts and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Be open to short-term travel and deputation to sites or lead offices as required.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Graduate degree in Mechanical, Production, or Chemical Engineering.
- 22+ years of relevant experience in piping and utility engineering, with a minimum of 10 years in engineering consultancy (preferably in metals and minerals projects).
- Proven experience as a Lead Piping Engineer for at least 10 years, with managerial experience in a reputed mining, minerals & metals consultancy, EPC organization, or mining, minerals & metals MNC.
- Strong knowledge of piping components and systems, including experience with furnace, mills, cyclone, flotation cell, sizers, thickener, filter press, pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in people management and performance evaluation.
