The role can be based out of our Gurugram or Mumbai office.



Job Overview: 



We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Performance Management Team for India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA). This is a highly demanding position in a fast- paced, professional services environment. The Performance Manager (PM) will be responsible to run all performance management activities in IMEA for all client facing staff (Core Consulting Group (CCG), Affiliated Consulting Group (ACG), Specialists, Interns and Analysts). The PM will work in close cooperation and collaboration with the IMEA Talent Management team and report into the Performance Management Lead.



The IMEA region covers several countries, and this role would be responsible for providing and initiating performance related data and inputs for population of 600+ consultants.



This role is integral to the smooth running of the Performance Management function.



Key Responsibilities: 



PerformanceManagement:



  • Engage actively in career review process -preparingdata, leading the review meetings and working on the pre- and post-review meeting analysis.


  • Actively engage in career review process, working closely with peers and senior stakeholders - read all project reviews as completed, and participate in review processes.


  • Proactively seek feedback from Partners, Principals and Engagement Managers to ensure issues and development objectives are closely tracked; seek informal feedback every 2-3 months on longer projects.


  • Work closely with the local Talent Managers, CCG Partner, People Partners and Industry leads to ensure consultants’ development needs and performance flags (if any) are raised well in time to plan on how best to meet firm expectations.


  • Ensure skills & experiences are updated based on project reviews.




  • Advise on, and locally manage, Oliver Wyman Talent Management programs and business school sponsorship.


  • Team and collaborate with Talent Managers (ACG, CCG, Specialists /other geographies)tokeeptrackofconsultant’sstaffingtoraiseprojectreviews with the correct review writers.


  • Generateprojectreviewrequestsandensuretheyhavebeencollectedinatimelyfashion.


  • Understandthecompetencymodelforconsultants.


  • Escalatecasesthatarenotbeingconductedperrespectivetimelines and follow-uprigorouslyonprojectreviewcompletionwiththebusiness.


  • Ensuretherelevantdataisuptodateformid-yearandyear-endreviewsprocess.


  • Maintainatrackerforall consultants with detailed feedback, historical information and performancecases/next stepshighlightedinthereview meetings to track how consultants are progressing against development objectives.​


  • Work with L&D to ensure consultant development & training. 


  • Work with the HC Ops team closely to manage involuntary exits, responsible for collecting and maintaining the relevant documents for all exit cases and be aware of the documentation needed depending on the jurisdiction.



Reporting:



  • Preparerelevantreports(utilization,performanceflags,attritiondataetc.)and highlight any trends.


  • Conductweeklyandad-hocanalysisandgeneratereportsfromTableauand OW360 Performance Management System.


  • Preparepyramidplanning/capacityplanningand utilization reports.


  • Analyzedataandhighlighttrendsacrossranksand industries/capabilities.


  • Preparedashboardsidentify,analyzeandinterpretpatternsandtrendsin consultants’performancetoensuregapsinskillsetishighlightedinatimely manner to the relevant stakeholders.


  • Supportonanyadhocperformancerelatedanalysis.



Experience Required: 




  • Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a fast-paced and dynamic client services business environment, ideally from a Management Consulting firm.


  • Experience balancing ever-changing work demands in a challenging environment with numerous stakeholders.


  • Proven ability to foster relationships at all levels of the organization.



Technical Skills:



  • Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.


  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)


  • Experience working with a resource management system highly desirable


  • Proficient with data analysis and reporting



Skills and Attributes:



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


  • Very strong Microsoft Excel (analytical) skills to generate insights from large and complex data sets


  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint


  • Applying an analytical mindset to propose data driven solutions


  • Ability to work with limited supervision


  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-minded


  • Ability to multitask and operate effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
