Amazon Operations primarily consist of Inventory planning & supply chain, warehouse management, transportation, 3P seller order fulfillment, customer returns & customer service. The tasks handled by operations have a direct impact on customer experience with Amazon. You will work with the Leadership team at to improve existing systems or processes or devise new ways and reduce defects to serve Amazon’s customers better. You will be required to analyze data, interact with cross functional teams, recommend and pilot improvements that will help us serve our customers better, in line with our goal to be the Earth’s Most Customer Centric Company.
Key job responsibilities
Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Areas for all the FCs/locations to meet and exceed Business Plan. Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for all the FC Site leaders. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds FC Site manager accountable for their performance and the performance of their FC. Leverages the Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and among the network. Works on improving process efficiency and setting up new process required for Wholesale operation. Works closely with support staff (HR Manager, Financial Manager, Facilities Manager, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in his/her area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. Able to address operational and personnel issues affecting functional area. Surface issues with potential to affect multiple functional areas, along with ideas for solutions and share the same with Senior Manager and / or HR. Coordinates with S&OP team for load balancing and future plan requirement, to adequately prepare the operation to meet business needs. Interacts with the transportation team to enable smooth operations at outbound.

GSF Upstream Network team comprises a mix of 1P and 3P Hub buildings which support the specialty businesses like Fresh, Amazon Now and SSD. We are amidst and exciting phase where we have to launch a number of new buildings to support businesses which will be critical to the future of Amazon in India and change the way India buys and sells.
- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
