Summary:
We are seeking a skilled OpenShift Administrator/Developer. In this role, candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining OpenShift clusters, deploying applications, and ensuring high availability and security. Additionally, candidate will collaborate closely with development/Applications teams to streamline the CI/CD pipeline and optimize application performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and administer OpenShift clusters across development, test, QA and production environments.
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications on OpenShift.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating application deployments.
• Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployments.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
• Develop automation scripts and tools for managing and provisioning OpenShift environments.
• Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to development teams as needed.
• Stay updated with OpenShift and Kubernetes technologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an OpenShift Administrator or Developer, or similar role with 8+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing applications on OpenShift.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and storage solutions in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana or any other tool) for cluster and application monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure high availability of services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (RHCSA) or similar certifications.
• Experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible or Python)
