Senior Multimedia News Producer (AI & Tech)


Reuters is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an AI specialist to join our Digital desk in Bangalore. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into our news production processes, helping us blend automation with journalistic excellence. A strong understanding of our current production + curation tools with a commitment to speed, accuracy and quality will be key to succeed in this role.


The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and keep both our news consumer business audience and media customers in mind while curating content and making changes to the production workflow.


They will build and reinforce working relationships, and foster open, honest communication to cultivate trust within our team and with our external stakeholders. The role involves regular production work and will include working in shifts and on weekends.


About the Role:


  • Lead the integration of generative AI tools into the production workflow, enhancing our editorial output.
  • Collaborate with technology and newsroom stakeholders to innovate and streamline our production operations.
  • Address training needs and support team members in optimizing their use of AI resources.

About you:


  • A background in journalism with at least three years of experience in digital news production.
  • Impeccable news judgment and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies, such as GPT-4 and other automation platforms.
  • Good prompt generation and testing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
