A Day in the LifeRepresents Medical Affairs internally and externally for India. Develops and executes medical affairs projects in the region for either a specific therapeutic area or across several therapeutic areas.MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Represents Medtronic as “the Clinical/ medical face” within the country/region and acts at the same time as the “voice” of the local customers and authorities towards relevant stakeholders at Medtronic for the assigned therapeutic areas.
  • Establishes effective and systematic collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g. Commercial Health Economic, Legal, RA stakeholder, global team), physicians and hospitals and triggers the conversation locally around unmet clinical needs, outcome measurements and improving quality of care.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the science behind our products.
  • Develops competitive intelligence in our product space.
  • Develops, implements and oversees integrated evidence-based medical affairs strategic plans for relevant Medtronic organizations.
  • Develop Real world evidence and projects in line with regional and global strategies
  • Facilitate Investigator initiated studies / External Research Programs (ERP) submission, tracking, and local administration all in alignment with existing SOP’s
  • Provide Medical strategic inputs and support to clinical studies.
  • Ensures effective objective value propositions are developed and articulated for Medtronic technologies to stakeholders (patients, health care providers, payers, government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, public) through appropriate channels
  • Builds the right level of knowledge in reimbursement, health management in the country/region to address those with relevant clinical solutions.
  • Drives education and outreach for safe and effective use of our products.
  • Lead Health Care Professional (HCP) education and engagement plans
  • Develop and lead Physician Advisory boards and consultancies
  • Ensures awareness of local clinical activity and new clinical evidence and provides input to sales & marketing leaders
  • Advises local marketing organization on outcome of publications and advises on a communication strategy
  • Provides expert review of marketing/sales presentations, scientific communications, and publications
  • Drive clinical evidence dissemination to internal and external stakeholders
  • If needed, provides inputs to supporting tenders
  • Be clinical representative of Medtronic to competent authorities
JOB QUALIFICATIONS  KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
  • MBBS/MD/MS
  • In depth knowledge of local laws & regulations for clinical research and codes of pharmaceutical conduct and practice
JOB EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree in, Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, clinical research clinical marketing roles.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.  The employee is also required to interact with a computer and communicate with peers and co-workers.
  • Ability to travel ≤50% of the time
