Role Overview: 

The Sr Manager, Testing Tools Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and management of software testing tools used within Enterprise IT organization. This role requires a blend of technical skills, project management capabilities, and strong communication abilities, as well as an Enterprise focused mindset and familiarity with SAP and other enterprise applications. 

This position serves as the primary liaison for coordination with the central quality engineering team, which oversees the testing tools and standards.

What will you do in this role: 

• Identify and evaluate testing tools based on project requirements and organizational needs.
• Lead the implementation of new testing tools, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems and processes.

• Collaborate and coach a team of testers and QA engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Organize training sessions for team members to ensure they are proficient in using testing tools.
• Assess current testing processes and tools, identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure continuous improvement and compliance by regularly reviewing, updating, and training on applicable testing SOPs and best practices for effective testing.
• Develop and implement best practices for testing methodologies, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Hold primary responsibility for overseeing and delivering training on tools and standards for testing.
• Work closely with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand testing requirements and align testing strategies.
• Facilitate communication between testing teams and other departments to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Oversee the maintenance of testing tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning effectively.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for testing tools as needed.
• Establish metrics to measure testing effectiveness and tool performance.
• Prepare and present reports on testing progress, tool usage, and quality assurance outcomes to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the COE Lead to establish standardized testing methodologies, tools, and best practices suitable for SAP products and enterprise technologies, ensuring consistency and efficiency across teams.

 What Should you have: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. 
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on tools and automation.
• Proficiency in various testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, QTP, LoadRunner) and familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycle processes (SDLC) in the pharmaceutical industry required.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and devise effective solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
• SAP Knowledge desired: understanding of SAP functionalities, modules, and integrations, as well as specific products like Concur, Ariba, Fieldglass, and MDG.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in implementing service virtualization techniques to simulate service dependencies for efficient testing in complex environments, enhancing the reliability of development and testing processes.
• Experience in designing and executing always-on testing strategies, ensuring continuous integration and delivery practices are maintained, and enabling real-time feedback on application performance and quality.
• Certifications in quality assurance, application management, project management and testing are preferred, such as: ITSQB (such as Certified Tester or Advanced Test Manager), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Tester Certification (CAT), Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT), PMP, or other relevant certifications.
