We are looking for a Senior Manager to sit within LSEG’s highly energetic and engaging Group Risk function. The function has been on a significant growth journey over the past 3 years with a focus on embedding of risk management across the firm. Based in Bengaluru and reporting into the Risk COO this is a key position supporting a strategic joined-up approach to delivery and operations of the Risk function.
Leads a functional area within Non-Financial Risk management championing delivery of high quality risk management practices and chips in to an improvement in the risk and control environment.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Leads the delivery of a significant part of the Global Non-Financial Risk programme
- Supports the Global Head of Non-Financial risk with the development of elements of Risk Framework and completes the agreed risk management strategies
- Works with significant authority and autonomy when handling relationships with relevant Divisional and Functional collaborator groups and cross-CRO peers
- Seeks opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Non-Financial Risk Function
- Applies experienced understanding of legislation and compliance requirements and external standard processes, to develop and implement recommendations to enhance risk monitoring and reporting
- Owns the delivery of high-impact and/or sophisticated risk initiatives by managing a team and/or utilising own technical subject matter expertise
- Takes appropriate actions to ensure mitigation of risks outside of risk appetite by Risk and Control owners in their coverage area
- Takes ownership for team delivery and building long-term capability through recruitment and development and mentor activities, supports delivery of training
Qualifications & Experience:
- Shown experience required in Risk Management, Framework or Delivery
- SME technical knowledge of NFR or related areas in Financial Services
- Previous stakeholder management and leadership experience
