Job Description

Purpose of Position: Senior Manager – Production role will be responsible for overseeing end to end manufacturing operations in the factory with efficient utilization of resources (Manpower, Machinery and Materials etc.,) aligned with Material planning team. Drive CFT to achieve key matrices of Safety, Quality, OTD, Cost and Labour Productivity.


Key Responsibilities:-

·Focusing on maintaining and improving the safety systems available in shop floor.


·Lead the DM (daily management) meeting to control and improve Safety, Quality. Delivery and Productivity metrics with the site leadership


·Maintaining and improving the 5S system in shop floor.


·Maintaining the adherence of Quality systems and standards.


·Resolution of non-confirming parts/products in MRB (Material review board) and act.


·Achieving the daily/month’s production plan by effective utilization of hourly scorecard.


·Initiating action for day to day failures in DM board (Daily management board) @ shop floor level.


·Productivity improvement by process improvement and waste reduction.


·Plan availability of production resources including man, consumables, fixtures and optimize costs.


·Ensuring the Shopfloor adherence to processes and close the audit findings as per ISO 9001; 14001; 45001 and 50001.


·Handling multiple team leaders from various business units.


·Sensitize shop floor issues and act proactively based on previous experience with union people.


·Operators mentoring and Performance management process.


·Ensuring valid SOP, process training and validation for operators by co-ordinating with ME & QA


·Managing the sudden crisis on manpower absent and machine failure.


·Escalate critical issues at the right time


·Communicating the management inputs to the operators.


·Collaborate with other department for smooth flow in shop floor.


·Working experience with union people is mandatory.


·Working experience in OEM is preferred.


Education & Experience:The ideal candidate will have
  • Total Experience in years: > 15
  • Graduation/ Degree: BE/ B.Tech
  • Post-Graduation/ PGDM:
  • Mandatory Certifications Required: ISO 45001:2018 / ISO 9001:2015/ ISO 14001:2015
  • Other preferred courses/ certifications: Lean Six Sigma
