Senior Manager – Operations Strategy


Job Responsibilities:


  • Business Strategy & Implementation:


  • Drive business growth through Strategy for future Products and Processes/technologies


  • Drive overall Profit Assurance – EBIT, Cashflow & CPH etc


  • Responsible to drive CoE strategy for Evacs with enhanced drop ship/direct capabilities


  • Drive strategy to Expand Localization to >75% and Productivity to >80%


  • Strategy for supply chain risk mitigation and Value chain simplification of key suppliers for fabric, regulators and cylinders


  • Strategy for Seamless integration of New Products /transition in to existing value streams/cells


  • Operations Strategy & Implementation:


  • Responsible for People strategy, hiring strategy, Training & development and productivity improvement strategy


  • Create strategy to meet capacity requirements through effective capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks, derive solutions, and develop budgets to support optimal production rates


  • Drive Materials Strategy & effective SIOP and MPS to address demand, lead time, capacity constraints and materials availability.


  • Responsible for the development and execution of the inventory management strategy


  • Formulates Goal Alignment in-line with GOPS & BU strategy & drives execution


  • Continuous Improvement Strategy & Implementation:


  • Develop strategy for continuous improvement of processes, systems and ways of working with a focus on enhancing operational capabilities


  • Ensures appropriate focus is placed on embedding and encouraging the use of CORE at all levels in the business unit


  • Drive Industry 4.0 and Technology Strategy


  • Drives effective capital decision-making to optimize investment


  • Lead site-wide cost reduction activities at all levels


  • Quality/ EHS Strategy & Implementation:


  • Formulate strategy to improve culture of QMS compliance and adherence to the Quality Cardinal Rules


  • Drive Quality strategy for prevention, resolution, and root cause / corrective action of Customer Escapes, including a read-across and communications regarding the impact on the Customer


  • Drive ZERO defect program for scrap and re-work reduction


  • Drive EH&S strategy, foster an EH&S culture and hold line management accountable for implementation of an effective EH&S Management System


  • Risk and Crisis Management Strategy:


  • Formulates and executes Operational risk and crisis management strategy.


  • Uses knowledge of critical operations performance measurements to anticipate and address a crisis before it develops


  • Effectively allocates resources to the critical processes and holds the functions accountable for executing in support of the business plan


Qualifications:


  • Regular full time B.E. / B.Tech. from recognized university / institution with 15+ years of experience


  • Must have worked as Plant Manager (having managed a plant independently with minimum few hundred unionized employees)


  • Prior experience of driving continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, TQM etc.
