Role Overview:


The Senior Manager, MuleSoft Engineer will be specializing in using MuleSoft's integration platform to design, develop, and manage APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and integrations between various systems and applications. This role is pivotal in enabling and enhancing business strategies and processes through the application of expert integration solutions.

We seek a leader who can help us to build new teams and guarantee technical excellence of our integrations developed using Mulesoft platform from design to operations included.

It enables fast, efficient, and secure data and information exchange across essential systems and applications. As a technical leader in our team, you will work in a modern cloud environment and use modern tools and innovative technologies to design, build, operate, and continuously improve important system.


 You will be responsible for the following:


  • Leading technical delivery of integrations as main guarantor of quality


  • Translating high level design or business requirements to low level design and specific task for development team


  • Orchestrating and ownership of integrations from design, through delivery to production including smooth operations and maintenance.


  • Define, build and grow team of integration engineers who will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of integrations and technical support.


  • Establish and maintain relationships with global IT and divisional teams to help accelerate the delivery of our business solutions.


  • Get a deep understanding of the business processes, systems, and data that support our own business.


  • Conduct architecture evaluations and collaborate with IT architects to identify the right mixture of technical excellence, business requirements and financial budgets.


  • Define & implement integration to systems & solutions that meet Product Team requirements.


  • Leverage industry standard frameworks and current knowledge of the industry trends to advise on leading architecture practices.


  • Analyze the current solution architecture to detect critical deficiencies and recommend actions/steps for improvement.


  • Undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs and communicate it to business leaders and architects.


  • Provides technical guidance and governance on solution development and integration to engineering team.


  • Create low-level technical designs and implement integrations within our company using our API & Integration Platforms


  • Teach and mentor developers how to design, develop and create APIs and integrations.


  • Implement and improve current Infrastructure as a Code approach and strengthen CI/CD deployments.


  • Thinking about systems edge cases, potential security breaches, behaviors, specific implementations, and full stack impact on overall availability


  • Evaluate project constraints to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform process re-engineering if required. Find resolution to technical issues as they arise.


  • Provide estimates and plan delivery timelines.


  • Lead sprint planning by splitting high level demand to actionable tasks for developers with estimated efforts and clear definition of done.


 Expected experience and skills:


  • 8 to 10 years of application and data integration experience.


  • API & Integration designs in an enterprise environment


  • Well-versed in different integration patterns and technologies, such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), microservices, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and messaging systems.


  • Strong engineering and problem-solving mindset


  • Experience working with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.


  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences.


  • Various technologies for designing, building, and operating APIs and microservices (REST, HTTP, OAS 3.x, OAuth 2.0, etc.)


  • Understanding security protocols, authentication methods, and data privacy regulations to ensure secure data exchange and compliance.


  • Experience with low-code/no-code integrations.


  • Critical thinker who can effectively embrace new ideas and technologies while balancing the needs of stakeholders and users.


  • Skilled in designing solutions that address complex integration challenges while considering scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.


Preferred experience and skills:


  • Knowledge of the Mulesoft Platform (MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Architect)


  • Knowledge of the Kong API Platform


  • Knowledge of any enterprise integration platform


  • Solid knowledge of AWS Cloud


  • Understanding of IaC (Infrastructure as a Code)


  • Working in Agile Environment (Kanban, Scrum)


  • Programming experience, understanding the code (Java, Bash, Node.js)


  • DevOps culture and practice
