What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for the direction of DIAS operations, processes, tools, technologies, and team globally. This position demonstrates powerful technologies, and innovative ways to position Amgen for measurable success; improving efficiency, growing security posture, and supporting aggressive growth. The successful candidate manages the enterprise-wide operations, Identity and Access Management program to address Authentication, Provisioning/Deprovisioning, Role Management, Red-Forest Management, Session Management, Password Vaulting, Privileged Account Management, Access Governance, Single Sign On, IAM Analytics, PKI and Certificate Management, User Experience, and API Management. This Sr. Manager is also responsible for the ongoing Run Service for IDM.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the AIN Director DTI Functional Lead for CDT program strategic objectives and operational run metrics, key performance indicators and outcomes
Develop and curate the global strategy for Identity and Access Management while ensuring its durability, scalability, resilience, and user experience sensitivity
Direct and guide development of IAM architecture and related technologies
Responsible for the development and ongoing governance of IAM roadmaps, change management plans, and end user communications
Manages the design of identity access controls rules, roles, and policies, globally while ensuring consistency regardless of technologies in use
Liaison with other IS areas and development teams regarding IAM standard methodologies for both on-premise and cloud based solutions for employees, contractors, partners and customers
Meet all security, privacy, compliance and audit obligations,
Work closely with Software Architects to propose solutions and provide strategic technical direction across the team
Management of key directory and identity (LDAP- Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and architectural personnel
Overall accountability for team operations and technical support
Lead and develop team members
Occasional off-hours support may be vital to address outages, pressing system issues, or scheduled deployments present to different levels within and outside of the organization (suppliers, management, sponsors, governance committees, functions etc.)

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of Information Security experience or related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of Information Security experience or related field experience OR
Diploma and 14 to 18 years of Information Security experience or related field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in DIAS capability areas (Authentication, Provisioning/Deprovisioning, Role Management, Session Management, Privileged Account Management, Access Governance, Single Sign-On, )
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead large matrixed teams.
Experience in driving transformation initiatives using Scaled Agile methodology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.
EST Time Zone (Non-Rotational)
Good-to-Have Skills:
Work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
Familiarity with GxP standards, Information Security standards and policies like ISO 27001/27002, NIST and others
Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a global, matrixed organizational structure
Experience driving a collaborative culture that values technical depth, accountability, and customer service.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Understanding of ITIL processes and implementation.
Professional Certifications
SAFe for Teams certification (preferred)
