The position
As a Senior Manager - ES QA at Novo Nordisk, you will provide strategic development and operational responsibility for ES QA in India, expanding the ES QA India team. You will also be entrusted with the below responsibilities:


  • Strategic development and operational responsibility for ES QA India.
  • Be accountable for specific quality activities in ES QA India.
  • Be a member of ES QA Global and NNQ-GBS management teams.
  • Lead grandparent teams within ES QA India (being a leader of leaders).
  • Manage the team and focus on talent development.
  • Control the budget and manage resources for the entire team, ensuring spends are aligned with overall company goals & ensure occupational health and safety.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (or equivalent) with experience in leadership, project management, organizational change, quality, or GxP Processes and a proven track record of excellent leadership.
  • 10+ years in pharma/healthcare, including 5+ years in leadership or people management roles. Prior experience in hiring and building a team to support global processes is mandatory.
  • Prior experience in managing multiple suppliers or contracts manufacturers is desirable with experience in negotiation, collaboration, decision-making, and adaptable to time and situational demands.
  • Experience of working in a matrix setup with local and global managers will be an advantage.
  • A background in quality and/or quality processes in pharmaceutical manufacturing will be highly relevant. Familiarity with QMS processes, drug development life cycle, sourcing, and GxP regulations is advantageous.
  • Clear, direct, and diplomatic communicator; fluent in English (verbal and written); adept at cross-functional and global interaction.
  • Proficient in handling complex issues, providing strategic advice, and influencing diverse international stakeholders. Excellent at creating and delivering impactful presentations to various organizational levels.


About the department


You will join the External Supply QA (ES QA) India team within Novo Nordisk Quality GBS (NNQ GBS). Our team is dedicated to quality assurance of our external supply, and hence requires interactions with suppliers and contract manufacturers worldwide. The ES QA team in India is projected to grow, and the Senior Manager ES QA will be responsible for building and developing an expanding organization. We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where collaboration and innovation are key.
