The Senior Manager Competitive Intelligence owns the global Cytiva competitive intelligence function ensuring it has a clear business aligned plan and delivers relevant foundational and ad-hoc competitive intelligence in a timely and efficient manner. Through the delivery of superior, differentiated insight the role has an opportunity to influence decisions across Cytiva at Group, OpCo and Business Unit levels.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Group Customer & Market Insights and is part of the Marketing function. The role is located in Bangalore, India and will be an on-site role.  At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Develop, maintain and continuously adapt a competitive intelligence plan that is aligned to Group, OpCo and Business Unit priorities and to available resource capabilities
• Efficiently develop, deliver, and disseminate the core foundational programs required to monitor and track relevant competitors – evolving and prioritizing coverage as the market and business needs require.
• Prioritize and deliver key competitive intelligence programs to support core business processes including Strat, new product and value proposition development.
• Influence across the business through the appropriate and timely synthesis, interpretation and communication of complex information, sharing competitive insights and making recommendations both proactively and reactively that guide business decision making.  
• Be recognized as the functional champion, sharing knowledge of best practices, including compliance, with regular coaching for the broader CMI team and the business, together with continuous evaluation and implementation of new tools and ways of working, including AI as appropriate
• Manage and develop a small team of competitive intelligence analysts ensuring they are enabled to deliver the prioritized ad-hoc and foundational programs.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required, MBA or relevant graduate degree an advantage.

• At least 8+ years’ experience in a competitive intelligence and/or secondary research or related field preferably from a consulting or competitive intelligence agency background.
• At least 3+ years’ experience working across multiple regions and levels within an organization.
• At least 1+ years’ experience of managing small teams.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• A B2B / technical business area.
• Life sciences/biotechnology with an understanding of relevant workflows and solutions
• Other insight areas such as qualitative research and secondary research.
