Senior Manager Business Performance


What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the Global Regulatory Affairs and Strategy organization in the constant pursuit of Execution Excellence.


The Senior Manager will lead the Business Performance Team. This team is responsible for helping leaders improve performance by defining performance measures and targets, developing cases, and driving improvement initiatives. They are also responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing organizational learning and development activities to enhance workforce performance and professional growth. This role involves strategizing and leading innovative training programs and performance improvement processes. They ensure activities align with and support organizational goals, foster a culture of continuous learning, and uses data to measure the impact of activities on organizational and individual learning.


Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Establish key performance measures and targets for the GRAAS organization, including processes to measure, monitor, and govern performance


  • Conduct external benchmarking and identify standard methodologies


  • Maintain portfolio of prioritized transformation initiatives


  • Develop reasons for initiatives that capture costs, benefits, and overall value that is intended to be delivered


  • Provide Project Management support to key initiatives


  • Develop and maintain project management standards and methodology


  • Provide change management support to key initiatives


  • Support teams with the use of transformation tools and methodology


  • Ensure business continuity by managing the onboarding and offboarding processes for transitioning staff


  • Collaborate with leaders to identify skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities


  • Establish a vision for fostering a culture of continuous learning and development


  • Design and deliver engaging, scalable learning solutions


  • Ensure learning initiatives are inclusive, accessible, and tailored to diverse learner needs


  • Develop knowledge management methods and procedures that enable the GRAAS organization to capture and share knowledge


  • Define methods and drive behavior change necessary for the organization to share and adopt standard methodologies


  • For key roles, develop and maintain competency and proficiency models, associated learning plans, and content to support implementing the plan


  • Define metrics and key performance indicators to assess the impact of learning initiatives and performance improvement strategies


  • Regulatory report to leadership on the effectiveness of learning and performance initiatives


What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:


  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of related experience OR


  • Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of related experience OR


  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of related experience OR


  • Diploma and 14 to 18 years of related experience


  • Experience working in a Global Regulatory Affairs organization


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Expertise in assessing and defining how to measure performance

  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and attention to detail


  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills in a team environment which requires negotiation, persuasion, collaboration, and analytical judgment


  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale learning and performance initiatives.


  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and performance management practices.


  • Proficiency in learning technologies (e.g., LMS, eLearning platforms) and data analysis tools.


  • Ability to influence and motivate change across all levels of the organization.


  • Expertise in assessing and defining how to measure performance


Preferred Knowledge and Skills:


  • Understanding of the drug development lifecycle
