Senior Manager – Advisory

  • You will lead a team of four reinsurance professionals with a range of experience having strength in quality assurance, operations, claims, compliance, broking and reinsurance placements both Treaty and Facultative.

We will count on you for:


  • Assist the Global Controls Leader is designing and maintaining Quality Assurance (QA) methodology and processes that assess effectiveness of key controls.
  • Ownership for delivery of QA monitoring plans with a focus on quality.
  • Supervise and participate in the planning and execution of QA monitoring reviews in line with methodology.
  • Adjust QA methodology to suit the unique requirements of different geographies and functions while also considering emerging risk in consultation with the Global Controls Leader.
  • Assess root cause for identified issues and work with business stakeholders to develop corrective actions. In addition, monitor the completion of those corrective actions.
  • Support Global Controls Leader and business stakeholders in analyzing issue trends to drive control improvement on a broader scale.
  • Manage teams effectively in line with stakeholder requirements and MMGS guidelines and norms
  • Support the Global Controls Leader to develop and generate reporting for business stakeholders
  • Manage team performance in conjunction with the Global Controls Leader. Create development plans for team members to support performance management and succession plans.
  • Continually identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA monitoring process

What you need to have


  • Post Graduate with 10 + years of experience in a risk management or assurance function, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance industry. 
  • Ability to analyze issues and trends to identify root cause and propose remedial measures to stakeholders.
  • Specialization and high level of competency in insurance or reinsurance products and regulations in multiple markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to resolve issues in a multi-product / service environment.
  • Skilled in management reporting; adequate knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
  • Ability to lead the team in meeting departmental and organizational goals.
  • Ability to understand changes affecting the business and identify emerging risks.
  • Ensures effective delegation, balancing direction with autonomy.        
  • Displays a continuous improvement and innovation mindset.

What makes you stand out?


  • Experience in Data Analysis from procuring data to developing data visualizations.
  • Qualification or certification in insurance ACII or FIII or CPCU (or other equivalent qualification in other geographies.
