About you this Role
The International Trade Operations Senior Logistics Specialist provides expertise in logistics related to containerized transport. This role involves working in a team focused on exports and imports to and from North America, covering all modes of transport. The position is directly linked to our Customer Service Organization, Business Supply Chain, and Site Logistics. It requires broadened conceptual and working knowledge and experience in the job discipline to perform a range of work assignments. The role uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. It involves analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents to solve problems.
Responsibilities
Manage the Leverage Team functional mailbox, including monitoring delivery notes and shipment processes.
Run daily Z2 Block Reports and address any errors by emailing order owners.
Resolve system errors related to shipment creation and auto-new offer by opening tickets with DSS.
Update equipment types, ECC Equipment Table, and ECC Loadability Matrix as needed.
Communicate with the Export Logistics Manager and Business Loadability Contact for loadability questions.
Manage the FNAROUT functional mailbox and handle route creation via OTM and transportation connection points within ECC.
Maintain Business Structure reports within ECC and run the Logistics Processing Tool process daily, providing updates to Freight Forwarders.
Qualifications
Proficient in SAP/ECC.
University Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or other Sciences.
3-6 years of experience in International Trade Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environment.
Critical competencies include supply chain management skills, interpersonal effectiveness, understanding customer needs, teamwork, taking initiative, problem-solving skills, value creation, technical proficiency in computer applications, analytical skills, and project management skills.
Must work Midland MI hours (U.S. Eastern Standard Time).
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
