Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Network SRE

As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the INFRASTRUCTURE PLATFORMS team, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications. 

Job responsibilities

• Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk
• Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
• Responsible for infrastructure engineering in accordance with business requirements
• Drives results and implements multiple complex programs
• Drives thought leadership within the product line
• Executes work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives
• Considers upstream/downstream system or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
• Advises junior engineers and technologists
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on Infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
• Experience adopting CI/CD practices and technologies for development projects. Fair knowledge of ETL process. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficient using Python language and popular frameworks to design and implement microservices based architecture. Best practices, design patterns, TDD  is a plus. At least 6+ years.
• Experience with queues and events design using message brokers like Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ (celery)
• Experience designing and building high performing APIs. Desirable frameworks: FAST API, Flask, Django
• Experience with NoSQL database products, graph databases is a plus. Good understanding of ElasticSearch and or OpenSearch
• Proficiency and experience in observability such as white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1. DevOps experience/knowledge is a plus
2. Experience in SRE roles is a plus
3. Understanding of and exposure to AWS Cloud Infrastructure is a plus
4. Prior experience with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, TDD)
