What you will be doing
As a Technical Consultant, you will bring expert-level depth/breath of skills, implementation experience and knowledge of asset finance industry practices, regulations and processes, as well as understanding the individual client configurations. With expertise in auto and equipment financing business process, provide with business or technical guidance to clients’ enterprise software implementations of FIS Asset Finance system. Formulate systems scope and objectives considering client business plan and industry requirements. Technical skills in data structure, data migration, .net and SQL.
Works individually or within a team on technology business consulting implementation projects to meet specific client requirements.
Expertly consults with clients on business, technology or regulations related to implementations, system design, enhancements
Defines business process, user stories, design approach and detailed designs.
Devises and/or modifies processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and to solve most complex business and technical problems related to client requirements.
Defines acceptance criteria, test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements made to applications meet client needs and application integrity is maintained.
Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests.
Consults directly with clients and may travel to client site.
Can act as team leader for technical aspects of consulting projects leading sub-plans or small projects. May mentor, guide, advise and/or check work of less experienced business systems analysts and technology business consultants.
May play a key role in training client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures. Training may be delivered one-on-one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting depending on number in audience and client preference.
Researches and resolves critical issues related to client solution in a timely and professional manner.
Provides technical and business domain expertise.
Leveraged across multiple large, complex client projects/programs
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
Typically requires ten or more years of related experience
Expert knowledge and expertise of Asset financing systems.
Expert knowledge of Asset Finance industry practices, regulations and processes
Expert knowledge of end-to-end systems development and implementation life cycles, e.g., iterative, waterfall, and agile
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple engagements concurrently.
In-depth ability in defining and implementing an overall solution and expertise in the business architecture
Expert analytical, statistical, problem-solving skills
Ability to utilize judgment in decision-making processes and decisions related to job tasks
Requires excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
Ability to travel periodically
Added bonus if you have:
Knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering
Knowledge of FIS Asset Finance system
Understanding of enterprise implementations
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
Recognized by peer group and external clients as a subject matter expert (SME) in FIS Asset Finance
Five or more years working in FIS Asset Finance as a developer, business systems analyst or technology business consultant.
