About the team


We are FIS Capital Markets Shared Test Solutions Group, provide Test Automation solutions to our FIS Capital Markets products Clients.


What you will be doing


As a Technology Business Consultant Senior, you would participate in Test Automation project implementation as a Consultant or Lead Consultant and would be part of Project Life cycle that includes Pre-sales support (SOW preparation, estimation of efforts), Requirement discussion with client, preparation of Test plan, Test Cases scenario, Test case detailing, Work with Test scripting team, Automation execution testing


  • During Presales, work with the client to confirm the scope of testing capabilities to be automated, including confirming test plan and classifying an inventory of proposed test cases along with associated complexity (i.e., T-Shirt size).
  • Work with client testing team to create written test cases from business functional requirements
  • Translate written test cases in scope using the standard FIS test case template
  • Liaison between client and scripting team to transfer required test case knowledge to the FIS scripting team, acting in a liaison role, for any questions initiated by the scripting team.
  • Hold regular review sessions through the automation process with the FIS scripting team to confirm correct understanding of automation requirements.
  • Work with the Client Test Manager to review and approve the completed scripts prior to client use.
  • Analyze execution failures in the automated Test Results Report received from the test automation tool.
  • For failures introduced by the scripting itself, notify the FIS scripting team to correct and rerun the tests
  • For any failures due to client configuration issues, liaison with the client project team to resolve, and afterward notify the FIS scripting team to adjust the automation accordingly. 
  • For any failures due to core code issues, liaison with the client project team to resolve via a defect ticket using the standard software defect resolution process, and afterward notify the FIS scripting team to correct automation accordingly.
  • Work with client to reach agreement on closing the automated test cycle when all failures have explanation or remediation plans.
  • Answer queries regarding the Testing Accelerator Service received from client
  • Review Release Notes as part of any client upgrade and identify changes to existing client test cases. Translate any like-for-like changes into test case adjustment requests to the scripting team to be addressed as part of the script maintenance process.
  • Work with the FIS scripting team to assess scope and estimate new automation scope resulting from Client Test Manager change requests
  • Participate in monthly Change Board to review changes to the automation scope following completion of initial onboarding.
  • Work with client to assess and approve changes to the automation scope resulting from upcoming product releases, configuration changes and/or new automation scope.
  • Provide new onboarding services for the client resulting from mutually approved change requests authorized by the joint client and FIS Change Board
  • Negotiate a solution to any problems resulting from new scripting changes.
  • Coordinate execution of any commercial impact associated with new automation scope.
  • Approve changes to automation scope and authorize any major deviation from agreed plans.
  • Work with client to amend the Testing Accelerator Service commercial arrangement to incorporate approved additional automation scope, as requested.

What you bring


  • Min 3-5 years of experience in Capital Markets
  • Working experience on Treasury implementation
  • Experience in Testing web applications
  • Assist clients to re-engineer their business processes and build a strong relationship with your clients
  • Develop your understanding of the database structure by utilizing report writing tools
  • Some experience within Consulting and/or working on software application implementations
  • Good understanding of the financial markets
  • Sound understanding of a typical project lifecycle
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Willingness to deliver to tight timeframes
  • Ability to discuss process issues, concerns with onshore counterparts and get it resolved.
  • Organized approach: Manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
  • Self-starter: Work autonomously and as part of a global team
