Senior Java Developer with GCP

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with GCP to join our team. 
Our customer is a leading American multinational healthcare and insurance company that focuses on delivering a full range of health benefits, improving affordability, simplifying healthcare experiences, and providing access to top-tier care. 
You'll be working on migrating the client's services to Google Cloud while ensuring seamless integration between migrated and new services. The role involves setting up secure authorization, authentication, and data encryption using top cloud security practices to protect sensitive data.
We’re looking for expertise in GCP cloud migration, Terraform, Java, Spring, and GitHub Actions for code security. The ideal candidate should have a strong DevOps background with a focus on cloud security, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Led migration of on-prem applications to Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement a microservices architecture.
• Ensure seamless integration between migrated and new services.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and IAM policies.
• Secure data with encryption for both rest and transit.
• Apply rate limiting, input validation, and prevent API abuse.
• Configure Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) for network isolation.
• Manage firewalls, security groups, and Web Application Firewall.
• Manage private code repositories with access controls and multi-factor authentication.
• Set up automated vulnerability scans for dependencies.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting with Google Cloud tools.
• Set up anomaly detection and performance dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS.
• Maintain data handling procedures and conduct security audits.
• Implement secure CI/CD pipelines with Google Cloud Build.
• Integrate automated security tests and use infrastructure as code for consistent deployments.

• 5+ years of Java development experience, with strong expertise in cloud technologies.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools.
• Proficient in microservices architecture and API design.
• Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
• Experienced with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skilled in CI/CD tools and practices for automated deployments.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform and Ansible.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Proficient in cloud monitoring and logging tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
