Dow Chemical Company has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Solution Manager role in Integrated Supply Chain Planning; located in Mumbai India.
The Associate Solution Manager provides functional, and configuration direction related to enabling new or changing infrastructure, work processes, or systems capabilities during implementations. The Associate Solution Manager serves as a technical and functional resource for small through large implementation projects regionally and/or globally and plays a leadership and coaching role for project team members.
You will work together with a multi-disciplinary IT expert team (analysts/designers/developers/support) to deliver innovative digital solutions. You will orchestrate functional and technical requirements analysis – with emphasis on experience, simplification, automation, efficiency, reliability. You will oversee the development, optimization, implementation, and adoption of solutions leveraging best-in-class technologies. You will identify opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation.
The primary focus area for this position will be within the Enterprise Delivery Teams Accelerated Business Capabilities (ABC) tower covering the ISC Planning work processes.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Partner with the Team Project Manager, Business Process Team, Enterprise Delivery leadership, and technical teams to provide overall leadership and expertise in ISC Planning.
Gather and analyze business requirements for ISC work process, using in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge to explore, analyze, and map business and function requirements. Document detailed designs, build, test, and implement solutions, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, architecture guidelines, and information security policies.
Drive the full solution lifecycle, including functional/technical design, solution architecture, integration of third-party software, development, testing, and building solutions. Ensure designs meet business requirements, conform to architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision.
Interface with project leadership and clients to complete implementation deliverables, facilitating client involvement where responsibilities are shared. Provide data analytics required for ISC Planning work process, and lead and influence project team discussions, decisions, and direction.
Manage cross-functional implementation issues and interdependencies for ISC Planning work process. Complete as-is assessments of business processes, organization, systems, and infrastructure for ISC Planning area. Review project requirements against standard business process MET, capturing gaps and highlighting them to the Business Process Teams.
Ensure successful technical and functional handover of deliverables to other DSS teams. Work with data leads to explain and identify the scope of master data. Coordinate the identification of end users involved in testing, training, and changes to security profiles.
Develop and coordinate the approach and plans for end user testing, including User Acceptance Testing. Develop training plans and deliver work process & systems delta training. Develop the implementation approach, strategy, and detailed plans, including cutover plans and approach, gathering input and creating cutover checklists for ISC Planning work process.
Assist with the coordination and execution of implementation plans for data readiness, training, testing, and cutover by facilitating task completion against the Implementation checklist. Provide hyper-care support following production implementations, facilitating defect closure and issue resolution across DSS teams. Facilitate handover to run-the-business operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's degree required in Computer science or Information Technology or other relevant degree.
Relevant working experience of minimal 12 years in any of these areas – Integrated Supply Chain, SAP Configuration, Implementation, ERP.
Understanding of Planning process knowledge. Demand Planning, Production Planning, knowledge of Business Hierarchy experience.
Experience with Planning master data.
Experience with ECC configuration/RICEF designs and Planning elements (Plants, Batch, MRP, STO, Availability Check (ATP), etc.
Effective communication in both oral and written English.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SAP APO GATP and SAP APO SNC.
Knowledge of OMP and its architecture and data.
Experience in Data Readiness, data loads and validation
Understanding and troubleshooting of BODS/PI/PO Interfaces.
Reporting and Analytics knowledge.
Project Management or Change Management experience.
