About the department


Enterprise Platform & Technology Services is the unit which is responsible for systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc. The Novo Nordisk SAP Development (ABAP) Centre provides development services to Product Supply, R&D, Finance and HR working across SAP application areas and handling some of the most Financial or GxP critical IT processes in Novo Nordisk.


The Position


As a Senior IT Architect at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for:


  • Define and oversee the architectural vision and support the implementation of enablers to evolve solution intent, working directly with teams to implement them.


  • Work closely with external stakeholders and other architects such as Solution Architects to understand solution alternatives and possibilities. Connect with project managers and drive the implementation across Novo Nordisk sites.


  • Drive planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and exploration of solution alternatives and Support interfaces, upgrades, and new features.


  • SDC (SAP Development CoE) team expects the position holder to have a solid background in ABAP programming with HANA and a strong customer centric and team-oriented attitude.


  • The position holder will be placed in the EWM/WareX area and is responsible to maintain a standard template approach to the following architectural topics like technical interfaces, Communication protocols, Solution rollout across different sites, Data extraction, User interface for desktop and mobile devices (barcode scanners) and Compliance aspects.


  • Be very well versed in SAP EWM, SAP AIF and SAP Screen personas from a hands on and design perspective.


  • Work closely with both business and technical stakeholders in the WareX program and set clear directions to the functional and development teams


Qualifications

Need to have:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.


  • 10+ plus years of relevant experience in ABAP development and design.


  • 4+ years of relevant experience in designing and architecting solutions in the SAP landscape.


  • SAP EWM implementation knowledge.


  • Strong experience in ABAP on Hana.


  • Knowledge on Interfaces, Firewalls and Authorization.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.


  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, Solution Architects, and stakeholders.


  • The ability to communicate architecture across different sites and systems.


  • Strong analytical skills to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.


  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving projects to completion.
