Overview


Responsible for providing systemic management of processes which control inflow and outflow of inventory throughout procurement and production.


Key Responsibilities


Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:


  • Track, organize, and manage inventory in warehouses to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory trends, identify discrepancies, and forecast future stock requirements.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement to develop and implement inventory management systems.
  • Develop progressive controls and measurements to effectively monitor inventory balance and turnover for raw, WIP and FG inventory categories.
  • Develop reporting systems to convey critical inventory management data to regional stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with finance in the development of cycle counting and physical inventory control systems.
  • Work with others to share best practices and identify synergies and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Coordinate training of production and procurement personnels for topics relating to inventory control.
  • Coordinate with sourcing to develop supply chain training opportunities with respect to visibility of inventory.
  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse to ensure seamless operations and alignment of inventory goals.
  • Provide relevant information to the other departments when needed.
  • Ensure deadlines given to the customers and their information are met.
  • Improve procedures and processes based on the customer feedback.
  • Ensure transactions are accurate.
  • Proactively look for weak areas in the department (stock outages, poor planning, etc.) and conduct effective AARs as needed.
  • Effectively communicate positive and constructive feedback to internal customers.
  • Follow strictly and promote HSE policy by applying instructions and procedures of the HSE manual by participating actively in the Hazards and (Near-miss) Incident Identification and by behaving safety.
  • Follow directives of the Quality System (ISO 9001) chosen by applying the instructions and procedures of the system as specified in the documents of quality manual, quality system procedures, and instructions.

Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or mechanical engineering and five (5) years of related experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Certified in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CPIM) or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience reducing stock discrepancies and improving overall inventory accuracy.
  • Experience optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing stockouts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to speak English required.
