Job Overview: Pure Storage is seeking a highly experienced and innovative IAM Engineer Level 4 to join our Senior IT Systems Engineering team. This senior role requires advanced knowledge and expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and the ability to work on complex issues, lead problem-solving efforts, and deliver high-complexity solutions. As an IAM Engineer Level 4, you will assume a leadership role in defining problems and solutions, implementing automation and integration code, and driving innovation within the team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop credibility in the IAM specialty and be known for innovation and creativity.
  • Lead and coordinate activities of other personnel, acting as a Team Lead when necessary.
  • Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Implement and deliver foundational outcomes of high complexity within the team.
  • Author and maintain integration and automation code, and define new functional tests.
  • Identify root causes within the team’s service management incident response processes and across other teams.
  • Understand interdependencies between the team’s scope, other scopes, and technologies.
  • Consistently prioritize and work to reduce technical debt backlog for the team.
  • Act as a senior administrator/service owner of at least one production service.
  • Use OKRs to prioritize and re-prioritize work, and deliver on commitments of high complexity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve problems strategically and make pragmatic decisions.
  • Mentor team members and collaborate effectively to drive resolution of issues.
  • Apply industry best practices and company-specific methods to deliver value to customers.
  • Build and drive consensus on team goals, processes, and decisions.
  • Present and communicate effectively up to the Director level within the company.
  • Market open positions to candidates and participate in the hiring process.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or
  • Master's degree with 6 years of related experience; or
  • PhD with 3 years of related experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of IAM standards, practices, and major platform automation technologies (SaaS, IaaS, scripting languages, automation platforms).
  • Proven track record of delivering on high-complexity commitments and leading teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate variable factors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to mentor and collaborate with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with IAM tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, SailPoint, BeyondTrust, CyberArk, or similar.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
