Job Overview:


We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Business Analyst with expertise in Murex to assist with the upgrade to version 58. The successful candidate will analyze items across Murex and work closely with both Murex and MHI Testing teams to explain the differences between versions 38 and 58, with a primary focus on Front Office space.


Software Requirements:


  • Deep understanding of Murex, particularly in Front Office functionalities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and documenting changes from Murex v38 to v58.
  • Experience working within capital markets technology and understanding of trading front office operations.
  • Hands-on experience in working with Murex Testing teams.

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and document the differences and impacts of upgrading from Murex v38 to v58.
  • Collaborate with Murex and MHI Testing teams to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide detailed explanations and bridging the gap between different Murex versions.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of upgrade activities.
  • Engage with Front Office stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting during the upgrade process.

Technical Skills:


  • Murex Expertise:Strong hands-on experience with Murex, particularly Front Office modules.
  • Analysis and Documentation:Proficiency in analyzing system changes and documenting technical details.
  • Testing Coordination:Experience collaborating with testing teams, guiding them through the transition process.
  • Capital Markets Knowledge:In-depth understanding of capital markets, trading systems, and related financial instruments.

Experience:


  • 8+ years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst, preferably with Murex.
  • Proven experience in Murex upgrade projects, particularly in analyzing and documenting version differences.
  • Hands-on experience working with Front Office functionalities in Murex.
  • Experience working within capital markets and trading environments.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Conduct detailed analysis of Murex v38 and v58, identifying key differences and impacts on Front Office operations.
  • Coordinate with testing teams to explain and verify changes during the upgrade process.
  • Document and communicate findings to stakeholders, ensuring all differences are clearly understood.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during the upgrade transition.
  • Collaborate with Front Office teams to align upgrade activities with business objectives.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather requirements and provide updates on progress.

Qualifications:


  • Education:Any Graduate; additional certifications in business analysis or finance are a plus.
  • Murex Certifications:Relevant Murex certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.

Soft Skills:


  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving:Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaboration:Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail:High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and analysis.
  • Adaptability:Ability to adapt to changing requirements and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
