Functional Description:


The Global Network Services (GNS) FP&A team leads the end-to-end P/L forecasting, results analysis and financial planning processes for the GNS BU under the GMNS segment, providing decision support to senior Finance leaders by producing P&L results and analysis, bringing forward analytical insights, and carrying out thorough financial planning. Delivering on these key goals requires high levels of analytical rigor, financial thought leadership, knowledge of the AXP P&L, strong collaboration across teams, and relationship-building skills. The Sr. Analyst based in Gurgaon will be working on Monthly Results analysis, Planning & Long-Range Planning exercises along with focus on data analytics & Transaction Profitability analysis. The Sr. Analyst would also be responsible for preparing materials for GNS Finance & Business Leadership reviews. This is a high-visibility role with exposure to senior leaders across different Finance teams.


How will you make an impact in this role?


Responsibilities


  • Mange the Annual Plan, Long Range Planning process for GNS in close collaboration with LFOs across Regions and Markets
  • Lead monthly results analysis for GNS P&L, bring useful insights to support better understanding of business performance, key trends and its impact on future performance
  • Identification of risks/opportunities, implementation of cost controls, and provision of meaningful commentaries and analysis
  • Drive process transformation through innovation and automation
  • Develop content and analysis for presentation to senior leaders
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders across BU FP&A, Market & Lead Financial Officer (LFO) teams, FDS, Risk Finance and Controllership

Minimum Qualifications:


  • The ideal candidate must possess good analytical and modelling skills, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across organization.
  • Academic Background:Chartered Accountant or MBA from a reputed Institute     
  • Technical skills/Knowledge of platforms:
  • Must be very proficient in using MS Excel (advance level) & MS Power Point
  • Ability to use platforms and tools such as TM1, Oracle Smart View, SQL Queries
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience of managing large data set and data mining

Competencies:


  • Good interpersonal and team player who can build and deepen relationships and collaborate across the team or the 'matrix' to deliver outstanding results
  • Demonstrate solution mindset in everyday job situations, be prepared to deal with ambiguity and still be able to drive results by applying innovative ways and approach
  • Ability to handle high pressure environment with aggressive deadlines while balancing long term / short term impacts and multiple priorities and customers
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines
  • Collaborate well with stakeholders spread across different geographies
  • Flexibility to operate across different time zones and shifts

Preferred Qualification:


  • Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau and Lumi (would be a great advantage)
  • 2+ years of experience in Financial planning and Analysis would be preferred
