Job Description: Senior AR Analyst


Overview: The Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the cash application process for the ANZ region. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate cash allocation, reconciliation, and email management. The Senior AR Analyst collaborates closely with various stakeholders, such as Property Managers, Portfolio Accountants, Tenants, and the Onshore team, to ensure timely and accurate cash application transactions.


Responsibilities:


1.Cash Application Processes: Develop and implement efficient cash application processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely application of Tenant payments.


2.Receipt Allocation: Accurately allocate customer payments to open invoices by matching and reconciling incoming payments with outstanding balances.


3.Cash Reconciliation: Conduct daily, monthly, and yearly cash reconciliation to identify and resolve any discrepancies between bank records and internal accounting system entries.


4.Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve any payment discrepancies or disputes with customers, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.


5.Customer Communication: Communicate with customers to ensure accurate payment information, provide assistance, and address any inquiries or discrepancies related to cash application.


6.Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance cash application procedures, reduce errors, streamline manual effort, and improve efficiency.


7.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports and analysis related to cash application activities, including aging reports, unapplied cash reports, and key performance indicators.


8.Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cash application transactions and related documentation.


9.Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to junior AR Analysts and assist in their professional development.


Requirements:


1.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.


2.Proven experience working in cash application or accounts receivable roles, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.


3.In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and cash management processes.


4.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.


5.Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.


6.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


7.Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


8.Solid organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.


9.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.


The Senior AR Analyst may also be assigned additional responsibilities or special projects as needed by the organization.
