What You Will Be Doing
- Build a team of Engineers focused on building and optimizing backend systems and data models that drive proactive support for customers.
- Oversee the data-driven infrastructure that can automatically push out fixes and updates based on customer demand.
- Build infrastructure to drive automated detection of reliability events in the field .
- Collaborate across the entire engineering organization, including remote teams, to define and implement strategies that integrate customer data insights into proactive customer support and product enhancement.
- Evangelize innovation and drive a shift-left approach to enable faster issue detection and resolution through data analytics.
- Work closely with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to define, refine, and execute on strategies for proactive support based on customer data.
- Measure, refine, and scale efforts to ensure infrastructure and data models enable fast, scalable resolutions and insights.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Maintain visibility into the team's progress by defining and refining engineering quality metrics that align with business goals and customer success.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in current processes and proactively suggest improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 14+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on systems, storage, networking, reliability or data analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role within software engineering.
- Proven experience leading teams through complex technical challenges.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a keen ability to prioritize and adapt under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
