Job Summary

The role of a Senior Engineer, Test Automation will work in an Agile/Scrum software development team specializing in healthcare solutions. The candidate will need to be self-motivated and prepared to work to tight deadlines. The Senior Engineer, Test Automation will be writing and reviewing Test Plans and Test Cases based on Business Requirements and/or User Stories with or without Acceptance Criteria. The role includes building and maintaining test scripts using an automation test tool including TDD/BDD techniques. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with Developers, Product Owner and other stakeholders throughout the full software development lifecycle and be involved in the continuous improvement of our software.
• Impact assessment of change and identification of scope of regression testing for software enhancements
• Analysis of use cases and test cases for new projects
• Build and maintain test scripts using an automation test tool including TDD/BDD techniques.
• Create and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Apply the latest techniques in test automation.
• Use risk driven techniques.
• Work with the Development team to capture and re use Automated test cases and other development test objects.
• Write Test Plans and Test Cases through evaluating Business Requirements, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria or through interaction with product stakeholders and developers.
• Design functional, non-functional, and structural tests for new system releases and enhancements
• Make recommendations to improve processes and be analytical and methodical in your approach to new problems.
• Ensure quality and consistency of all testing deliverables.
• Organize/Prioritize own workload to optimize productivity and achieve targets.
• Be very thorough in your approach to testing and able to quickly understand complex requirements.

Qualifications

B.E/B. Tech in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / Electrical or related field 

Education and/or Experience

a.    Must have experience:

• 6-9 years’ experience of test automation
• Strong Java and Selenium WebDriver experience
• 3-5 years’ experience of testing large and complex software applications
• Full knowledge of typical Development Life Cycles
• Experience of working within an Agile/Scrum development environment

b.    Desirable experience:

• Knowledge of the healthcare sector, including software products designed for clinical use.
• Experience of JIRA, Confluence, GIT and Jenkins
• Experience of building and executing database queries (SQL)
• Some exposure to PHP for basic debugging
• ISEB/ISTQB Certificate in Software Testing
