Since the beginning, Thales has been playing an essential role in India’s growth story by sharing its technologies and expertise in Defence, Transport, Aerospace and Digital Identity and Security markets.Senior EngineerThis individual is responsible for preparing the server-side logic of a web application, developing the application's back-end components and linking it with other web services. They also design and maintain Python scripts and codes to automate task, fine refining and updating existing applications. To be successful, the candidate will need to have solid experience within the AGILE/SCRUM software development methodology; they possess strong programming skills and full software development life cycles.  The candidate should have sufficient technical and leadership skills to be a mentor to entry-level engineers and be able to work collaboratively with his/her team. This individual needs to be accountable for his/her commitment (both technically and behaviorally), be able to cooperate effectively, demonstrate willingness to lead/mentor others, and be adaptive in working with different stakeholders.Qualifications: BE / BTech in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication or equivalent discipline with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.Working experience in Defense\military\Aerospace products development is desirable.Location: Anchorage-2, 100/2, Wing-A, Richmond Rd, Richmond Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560025.Job Responsibilities:Expert in Python, with knowledge of Python Django web frameworkResponsible for writing reusable, testable and efficient code — ensuring the application's performance, security and scalability.In addition, he/she will be working on data engineering problems and building data pipelines.Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)Basic understanding of front-end technologies: React JSKnowledge of user authentication and authorizationStrong unit test and debugging skillsFamiliarity with database technologies such as SQL and postgresql.Excellent problem-solving ability with solid communication and collaboration skills.Work status update in Jira.Provide technical documentation for system, features, and componentsSupport end to end testingFollow and support agile methodologies and practices by actively participating in all SCRUM ceremoniesExpected to improve, enhance, and support existing productsProvide guidance and training to individuals and other functional groups as neededMinimum Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related studyProven experience as a Python language with Django frameworkMinimum 5 to 7 years of experienceUnderstanding of data structures, data modeling and software architectureAbility to write robust code in PythonOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with Git, JIRA, ConfluenceExperience in working on Linux OS.Excellent written and verbal communication.At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
