What you will do
This position is part of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Department. The PSRA Specialist will be responsible for the support of the entire PSRA initiatives by providing support to the PSRA Specialists, maintaining critical information – helping to manage Safety data sheet and label for regulatory compliance activities such as EU REACH, OSHA, DG, GHS, PFAS, OECD guidelines, ECHA, CLP etc. as well as global chemical inventory compliance. This role will be responsible for coordinating directly with the US and EU based PSRA teams for direction and oversite on Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance initiatives. This person will provide the necessary oversite to the India based PSRA specialist team.
How you will do it
- Authorizing the SDS and Labels for Hazard classification using UL WERCs.
- Classification of substances/mixtures in accordance with GHS regulation and Experience with good understanding of GHS and applicable regional regulations.
- Provide support to the US EU and India based PSRA team by implementing systems, procedures, and completing projects in support of compliance tracking for raw materials and finished products.
- Interacts with and responds to global customers, suppliers, and other applicable functions in supporting hazard communication and regulatory compliance needs.
- Ensure the validation and creation of Certificates and Declarations as necessary.
- Ensure completion of regulatory and risk management assessment for compliance to applicable regulations including but not limited to GHS, DG, TSCA, OSHA, EPA, EU REACH, ECHA, PFAS etc.
- Responsible for product document control of all regulatory and applicable documents on products.
What we look for
Required
- 2-4 years’ experience in Hazard communication, Chemical control law and Chemical Regulations like GHS, REACH, Safety Data Sheet requirement, etc.
- Require strong analytical skill and ability to accurately manage large amount of detailed information.
- Demonstrate ability to work in team atmosphere and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, able to problem solve and lead conflict resolutions.
- Able to communicate effectively with a global PSRA team.
- Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- Minimum degree in chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or other related scientific discipline
- Expertise in Hazard Communication-Chemical classification based on Toxicological study and Physical, Health and Environmental hazards.
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing and/or R&D operations
- Excellent Microsoft skill should be comfortable with advance MS-Excel.
