Senior Engineer - HW Sustaining
Experience
4-6 years
Responsibilities:
• BoM Verification, NRND analysis, verifying details like manufacturer part number, component description, lifecycle status, compliance requirement like UL, Estimated EOL date
• Support to design team in relation for sustaining the product in manufacturing.
• Maintains the Approved Parts List (APL) or (AML) Approved Manufacturer List for R&D.
• Electronic Components / Cost Analysis/ Electronic Component Datasheet study for Form Fit Function comparison.
• Component level qualification at bench level for product functionality.
• Create and maintain design library in Altium
• Initiate best practices of obsolescence management and supply chain management.
• Apply systematic problem-solving skills to define component issues, identify root causes, develop, qualify, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Read and review schematic and recommend changes based on worst-case analysis.
Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s in engineering in EEE/ECE or other equivalent Engineering degree.
• Minimum 4+ years Electronic product/component engineering experience.
• Good at Electronic Component characterization and validation experience.
• Capable of understanding Existing design for trouble shooting/ Improvement.
• Experience working with electronics tools and equipments.
• Aware of Schematic capture and PCB design knowledge with Altium
• Experience with PLM tools (like Arena) is an asset
• Requalification of component changes (PCN review) with MCO/ECO and ECN (Engineering Change Notice).
• Should have done Testing and validation of designed boards
• Familiarity with Altium Designer or equivalent tools for component library management.
Good to Have:
• Good report and documentation writing skills.
• Good in Component selection and specification.
• Failure Mode Effect Analysis of designed product
