Join us.Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.Identifies discrepancies in results.Provides guidance to entry level engineers.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.Develops and reviews HVAC system designs, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork layouts.Collaborates with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated building systems.Conducts energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system performance and efficiency.Prepares technical specifications, reports, and construction documents for HVAC projects.Participates in client meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and troubleshoot issues.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsEnergy Modeling, Building Performance analysis & IES Software skills listed in detail below.Utilize energy modeling software like IES VE to simulate building performance and energy consumptionAnalyze data received from client and energy results to provide the best energy-efficient solutions to teamCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams for various inputs and outputs to do the efficient design processAbility to work on Cooling/Heating loads, Energy consumption and building performance in IES VE or any other modeling softwareFamiliarity with ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, 55 and CIBSE requirementsKnowledge of Mechanical system architecture and componentsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferredProfessional Engineering (PE) license in HVAC or Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC system design for commercial and industrial buildingsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design softwareStrong understanding of building codes and regulations related to HVAC systemsExperience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processExcellent project management and communication skillsAbility to mentor junior engineers and lead design teamsDemonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detailAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle – from advisory, planning, design and engineering to program and construction management.
