About the team 


The Capital Markets Data CoE team is a horizontal CoE for Capital Markets that is helping us drive revenue and bring significant savings to our businesses by identifying, exploring, and implementing Data integration.


The Capital Markets is one of the two verticals in FIS. It has various products and solutions in funds management, cleared derivatives, commercial lending, corporate treasury, insurance risk electronic trading, RegTech, wealth and retirement etc.


What you will be doing 


As a Software Engineer (Data Engineer), you will be working on support for Data integration solutions across the organization.


Where you will be doing problem analysis, solutioning, analyzing issues and provide L3 and platform support.


 What you bring: 


Knowledge / Experience


  • Strong working knowledge of ETL processes and best practice.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in an Application Support role.
  • 2+ years previous experience in an Application Development/ Sustenance engineering role.
  • Administration and Monitoring: Administer data integration applications to ensure high availability of services. Monitor Application capacity and execute plans.
  • Support: Provide support for business questions related to data integration applications. Investigate critical production ETL issues/ problems.
  • Development and troubleshooting skills on the ETL platform, with expertise in Linux SQL, Stored Procedures and
  • Should have supported ETL applications in the past and should be aware of ETL technology.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with expertise in SQL Stored Procedures.
  • Exposure to Windows Azure and Cloud Computing will be an added advantage.
  • Deep understanding of customer support processes and tools. Ability to follow defined processes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prefer to have a ETL, Datawarehouse development background in past
  • Should have Application troubleshooting skills.
  • Good conceptual knowledge of SaaS Platforms such as, AWS, Azure etc.
  • Work closely with the developers to migrations of the projects.
  • Document use cases, when necessary, always Maintain a professional demeanor

Skills


  • 3+ Year of experience on ETL
  • Good Knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL
  • ETL Tool – Any (preferred informatica)
  • Experience of working with at least one migration projects.
  • Scripting knowledge – Unix Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts.

Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

  • Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
  • Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation.
  • Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
  • Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
