Overall Responsibilities:
We are looking for a skilled and experiencedSenior Engineerwith expertise in API portal development adhering to CBA standards. This role involves the design and development of microservices-based applications, API development based on BIAN specifications, and refactoring and rearchitecting legacy APIs to enhance their cloud-native capabilities. Additionally, the role includes integrating legacy APIs with systems of record and influencing design decisions positively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop microservices (RESTful APIs, Reactive, and Batch applications).
- Develop APIs based on BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) specifications.
- Migrate legacy APIs to AWS Cloud.
- Refactor and rearchitect legacy APIs to make them cloud-native, utilizing Java, .NET, JavaScript, and associated libraries/frameworks (Spring Boot, ASP.NET Web API, Express.js).
- Integrate legacy APIs with systems of record (SAP, HCL, Combizz, CommC, Mainframes).
- Follow coding standards and best practices to achieve high-quality outcomes.
- Participate in key engineering initiatives aimed at improving capabilities, standards, and risk profiles of the platform.
Technical Skills:
Mandatory Skills:
- Expertise in .NET development, C#, .NET Core.
- Expertise in REST APIs.
- AWS experience is mandatory.
- Serverless Computing using AWS (AWS Lambda, Kong API Gateway, IAM Roles & Policies, Elastic Beanstalk, Fargate, VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Load Balancer, EC2, EKS).
- Expertise in MVC Framework, OAuth2, and AWS CDK.
- CI/CD Tools – GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Microservices Architecture, Design Patterns, and best practices in software programming.
- Monitoring and logging tools – Splunk, AppDynamics, and CloudWatch Canary.
- Experienced in performance tuning while building high-throughput and resilient applications.
- Familiarity with SDLC using Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of the Banking and Payments domain.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in API portal development with adherence to CBA standards.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Design and implement scalable microservices and APIs.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to innovative solutions.
- Monitor application performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Document development processes and maintain version control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in AWS or software development methodologies are a plus.
